The preliminary studies for a second bridge over the Maumee River in Napoleon are underway.   That means crews are boring into the riverbed to see what kind of foundation that bridge would stand on.   And according to Patrick McColley at the Henry County Engineer’s office, it could be a bridge that’s different than the downtown Perry Street span over the Maumee.

McColley reports the entry to the new Maumee River bridge could have a different look on the north side, compared to most large spans in this area.
