A grant awarded to FultonCounty will help in litter and recycling efforts heading toward fall. The award from the Ohio EPA of $9,000 will be utilized in two litter pickup events. Volunteers in various townships will receive materials for picking-up and collecting litter along roadways, to be left in bags for later disposal. The other phase of the program is designed for two tire drop-off events in FultonCounty. Those are scheduled for September 27th, and October 25th. Residents will only be allowed to utilize this tire dropoff, as commercial collectors and businesses will not be eligible.
The Fulton County Commissioners approved the recycling grant; and reviewed a request for funding help to make improvements at the sheriff’s office.
And the board approved a contract with Tenmile Creek Excavating to tackle the reclamation job on road 14 in ChesterfieldTownship.
