For the fifth consecutive month, FultonCounty is reporting higher sales tax revenues than the year before. That news was delivered to the Fulton County Commissioners this week, including the May report of receipts at $352,730. That’s up by just over 9% from May of 2013. So far this year, sales tax revenues in FultonCounty are running about $170,000 ahead of last year.
Only one company submitted a bid for the road resurfacing contract in FultonCounty; and that was Gerken Paving of Napoleon. Their bid of just over 1-million dollars was about $97,000 above the engineer’s estimate for the job. That bid is being reviewed by the county engineer’s office.
And the Fulton County Commissioners learned they have received a grant of $9,000 to help with litter prevention and collection. There is a 10% match required.
