The Henry County Commissioners approved a resolution to allow a grant application for the local transportation network.   The agency is seeking about $58,000 from federal funds through ODOT, which would help pay for salaries and other expenses over the next two years.  A 20% match is required from the county to obtain the grant funds.

Commissioners were informed, there is a little more money left in the Moving Ohio Forward program, which helps pay for demolition of blighted homes.   14 structures have been torn down already; and the remaining $12,000 will help with another 1 or 2 more dilapidated residences.

And HenryCounty’s worker’s compensation premium rate is just over $145,000 for 2014.  That’s an increase of about $11,400 over last year’s rate.
