At a special meeting of the Holgate School Board of Education Wednesday, a couple of teachers were hired for the coming year.   The board first accepted the resignation of Nathan Williams as band director, effective this week.

The Holgate board then moved to hire his replacement, naming Lawrence Mulligan the new band director, in a one-year contract.  Mulligan was also given a contract for additional summer instruction.

And another new teacher hired by the Holgate board is Kimberly Schroeder.

In other action; the Holgate school board approved an overnight trip for the Holgate cheerleaders to attend the Ohio State Fair competition on Saturday.
