The filing deadline for the November election is today across the BuckeyeState; for issues to be placed on the ballot. Those requests for money in levies and other proposals need to be filed with the local board of elections by 4pm this afternoon.
The Henry County Board of Elections reports the following issues have been filed thus far: An additional levy of 1.6 mills is sought for maintaining and operating Countryview Haven, over a 3 year period.
DamascusTownship residents will decide a replacement levy for current operating expenses.
NapoleonTownship trustees have submitted an additional levy for road and bridge construction, totaling 3 mills over 5 years.
The village of McClure has a replacement levy for current expenses.
Voters in the Patrick Henry school district will decide on a renewal levy for emergency requirements of the district, in a 5.47 mill levy for three years.
And a liquor option for Sunday sales in Deshler will be on the ballot there.
Candidates were required to file earlier in the year to be included in the primary ballots in Ohio. A deadline for write-in candidates to run in the November election is just around the corner.
