Residents in HenryCounty could see an issue on the ballot this fall to support Countryview Haven.   The Henry County Commissioners have authorized the county auditor to certify the dollar amount for renewal of a 1.6 mill levy to fund operations of the county home.    If approved by commissioners, this levy could be placed on the November ballot this fall.

 

                                    The HenryCounty board opened bids for installation of a new chiller in the historic courthouse, to improve air conditioning in the 130 year old structure.  All three bids were above the engineer’s estimate of $277,000.

 

Commissioners went into executive session to discuss pending litigation with Henry County Auditor Kevin Garringer, and CIC director Rob McColley, but no action was taken.

 

There was discussion concerning janitorial services in the county offices.

 

            And the Henry County Commissioners extended an agreement for youth services for Henry County Job and Family Services, at a cost not to exceed $65,000.
