PUTNAM COUNTY DROWNING, HENRY COUNTY INJURY ACCIDENT

The Putnam County Sheriff’s office is investigating a possible drowning incident that occurred Saturday night.  The sheriff’s office was informed a subject was missing from his farm in Ottoville at 10:34pm, after being home alone.  The PutnamCounty dive team responded, along with Delphos Rescue, conducting a search of the farm pond at the home of 59 year old Donald J. Burgei of Ottoville.  At about 11:50pm, the body of Donald Burgei was recovered from the pond.   The assistant coroner in PutnamCounty has ordered an autopsy, which is being conducted by the Lucas County Coroner’s office, to determine the exact cause of death.

 

 

 

The Henry County Sheriff’s office investigated an injury crash Sunday afternoon at 3:32pm, on U.S. 6 near road 8 in HarrisonTownship.  32 year old Chad Roper of rural Napoleon lost control of his vehicle, rolling it into the ditch.   Roper sustained injuries; and was transported to the HenryCountyHospital by McClure Rescue.  He was also cited for Failure to Control.
