There will be 11 ladies vying for the crown at the 2014 Tomato Festival Pageant at the Henry County Fair this year, which takes place on Sunday evening, August 10th.


Over $1,000 in scholarships will be presented to winners that night.


            Representing LibertyCenter village is Jordan Sidel .  MissWashingtonTownship is Nikole Kern.   Destinie Johnson will represent LibertyTownship.   MissFreedomTownship is Laura Yaney.   And Deshler village is represented by Bethany Babcock.


Other contestants for the Tomato Festival scholarship pageant are Miss Bartlow Township-Kaylee Spurgeon.  MissMonroeTownship is Mallory Michaelis.  Representing DamascusTownship is Taylor Johnson.   Miss Napoleon city is Laney Hanak.   MissMarionTownship is Sarah Volkman.  And MissPleasantTownship is Mariah Young.


Tomato Festival Parade director Neil Giffey reports the final day to register for the parade is this Thursday.   There will be cash awards for floats in categories like commercial, religious, youth, and organizational.  But other entries will also be accepted.   More information is available at the website
