There’s a war underway in northwest Ohio. It’s a battle that has seeped out of the city; and is now attacking rural communities. Defiance County Sheriff Dave Westrick says in his long career in long enforcement, he’s never seen anything like this. 7 deaths have been reported in Defiance County, including the city, all attributed to heroin overdoses.
Law enforcement is striking back at this heroin epidemic by going after the dealers. DefianceCounty prosecutor Morris Murray reports he will charge drug traffickers with first degree Involuntary Manslaughter if their sale leads to a death.
