Randy Travis' stroke last summer has apparently robbed him of his voice.
The country star's rep admits to TMZ that the singer is currently unable to speak. The spokesperson adds that the condition might not be permanent, but it will likely be a long road back.
A therapist has reportedly told Travis he could redevelop his abilities to speak and even sing again, but it could be three years before he's ready to return to the stage.
Another unnamed source is shedding doubt on that prognosis, however, saying Randy's cognitive abilities seem to be impaired. The insider claims Randy doesn't appear to be able to form sentences or follow conversations.
