NAPOLEON COUNCIL TO CONTINUE MORATORIUM ON MARIJ.

Don’t look for any medical marijuana cultivation or retail sales in the city of Napoleon anytime soon.   Napoleon City Council followed the recommendation of a committee, and have authorized the law director to bring legislation to make the moratorium on marijuana a permanent law.

Napoleon Council made a motion to purchase new laptop computers for police vehicles, and will see legislation for that expenditure.  The cost is estimated at $26,000, and will make the officers more efficient in the field.

Mayor Jason Maassel and councilman Dan Baer have been re-appointed to terms on the Henry County Community Improvement Corporation.

Napoleon Council has also authorized spending up to $60,000 to complete a manhole project in the city, required by the EPA.

There was an executive session to discuss economic development and personnel; but no action was taken.
