WAUSEON ROTARY TO OPEN WALKING TRAIL

The Rotary Club in Wauseon is creating a wellness opportunity for their community.   It’s called the Indian Hill Trails, which feature passive walking routes through undisturbed wooded wilderness on the south side of town, adjacent to Homecoming Park off Lawrence AVenue.  There’s a perimeter trail through a north woods that’s just under a half mile, and a seven-tenths mile trail in the south woods, connected by a 60-foot wide corridor.   Indian Hill itself is located in the south woods, and features what many believe is the largest Buckeye Tree in Fulton County.               There’s still work to do to complete the project, but a ribbon-cutting is planned for today (Tues.) at 4:45pm, preceding the inaugural Fulton County Cross Country Invitational at 5.  The site will also be utilized for the NWOAL Cross Country meet in October.
