BUS GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR SCHOOLS

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is now accepting applications for its 2017 School Bus Rebate Program.  State Representative Rob McColley of Napoleon is encouraging schools to apply for up to $20,000 in grant money to replace older school buses.  Other grants of up to $6,000 can be utilized to retro-fit older buses.    The aim of the program is to reduce harmful exhaust emissions to help improve the health of students who are often near these vehicles.   The application period runs through November 14th.
