REFORMATION CRAWL EVENTS

When a Catholic monk in Wittenberg, Germany by the name of Martin Luther nailed his objections to church issues on the front door, he probably didn’t know he was igniting a revolution that would lead to formation of the Protestant Church in the world.   The 500th anniversary of that event is this month, and the Lutheran Church has planned events for this weekend in northwest Ohio.

Reverend Julie Parsell will share a travelogue on Reformation sites in Germany and Switzerland at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon.  Reverend Norm Imbrock will share local stories on the German heritage at the Lutheran Social Services facility on state route 66 near the Four County School.   And Pastor Keith Hunsinger will lead a tour of the historic cemetery, and look at the unique Lutheran history of southern Henry County at Hope Lutheran Church near Hamler.                   All these events are scheduled for this Saturday with presentations at 10am, 11:30am, and 1pm.   More information is available on the website          nwos500.org

Then next Sunday, October 29th, Zion Lutheran church in Ridgeville Corners will host a Reformation Worship Service with Happy Times Polka Band leading the music.  It’s scheduled for 10am, with a brautwurst luncheon to follow at 11.  The church is located on road X across from the former Ridgeville School.
