HENRY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS GET UPDATE-FAIRGROUNDS

It was a very good year at the Henry County Fair.  Fair board member Wayne Michaelis reported to Henry County Commissioners that ticket sales for the 8-day event were up by 20%.           The board invested $120,000 in new electrical improvements, along with fencing.    2018 projects include improvements to the floral hall, fencing for the parking area, and more.   The Henry County Fair Board is requesting $25,000 from commissioners to help pay for the upgrades.

And Pastor Lee Hill addressed Henry County Commissioners, inquiring about converting the former County home into a home or training facility for youth.  The board reported to the pastor that their plan was to proceed with a tear-down auction this Saturday at 10am, followed by demolition.
