DEFIANCE COUNTY RECEIVES GRANT FOR BOY SCOUTS

Defiance County Commissioners are working with Maumee Valley Planning Organization on a plan to build a safe-house at the Boy Scout Camp Lakota near Defiance.  The safe-house would create a place for scouts to go to when severe weather threatens.   Defiance County was awarded a grant of over $571,000 for the project, along with the Boy Scouts chipping-in another $190,000.   Commissioners approved the grant.
