The spending plan for the city of Defiance was adopted by Defiance City Council Tuesday night, with a total budget at nearly 51.5 million dollars. That budget includes a proposed wage increase of 2% for non-bargaining employees of Defiance. The pay raise would impact about 30 to 40 staff members in Defiance.
And Finance Director John Lenner was recognized by the state auditor’s office for exemplary work in the city’s financial documents.
