A number of staff contracts were approved by the Liberty Center school board of education this week.Continuing contracts were approved for Rebecca Tejkl, Diana Smith, and for Mary Ann Reimund. The board also approved 9 three-year contracts for Liberty Center teachers.
The Liberty Center board got an update on the reading initiative, asking students to read one million minutes this year, which they have achieved.
The athletic boosters have agreed to complete a renovation of the football concession stand, with funds they have raised, and completion by this fall.
The Liberty Center board commended sophomore Erica-Ray Herrick for being a finalist in a state writing contest.
And progress is reported on the Veterans Wall project, to be located at Young Street and Route 109 in Liberty Center.They hope to wrap it up by Memorial Day.
