LOCAL VETERAN RETURNS TO OPEN RESTAURANT

A combat veteran from northwest Ohio is opening his own restaurant in Wauseon, known by the name Warrior Wings.Brock Nagel is founder of the store, which will be located at 850 North Shoop Avenue.He will be turning a former 1960’s fuel station into a restaurant with seating and carryout.Nagel was stationed in Germany, and then was deployed as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, serving in Afghanistan.His goal is to donate a portion of all sales to local veteran’s causes, and to make it a priority to hire veterans.Warrior Wings will specialize in fresh chicken wings, fingers, and bird-dogs, which is a chicken sandwich.Renovation of the property will take place this summer, with hopes of opening in mid-September.Brock Nagel is one of 5 brothers who served in the Army or Marine Corp.
