DEFIANCE MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR MULTIPLE SEX OFFENSES

A Defiance man will spend 10 years in prison after his conviction for multiple sex offenses involving children. 63 year old Simuel Brown Jr. of Defiance was found guilty on ten counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, and two counts of Endangering Children. The Defiance County Common Pleas Court sentenced Brown to a total of ten years behind bars, but was given credit for more than a year spent in jail. According to Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray, the case involved the suspect compelling two children under the age of 18 to participate in sexually oriented or nudity-oriented matters. Then in 2014, Simuel Brown, Jr. was guilty of sexual contact with the same individuals by force or threat of force on multiple occasions.

In another case in Defiance County Court, 37 year old Esiquiel M. Ramirez of Defiance was convicted for Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, and for Operating a vehicle with a Hidden Compartment to transport a Controlled Substance Ramirez was found in possession and for trafficking Methamphetamine, and was sentenced to a total of 5 to 7.5 years in prison.
