NAPOLEON BPA AMENDS WATER COMMISSION TO OPEN SEATS ON WATER RATE BOARD

It looks like the city of Napoleon’s water commission, that oversees water rates, will have a new make-up going forward. The Napoleon Board of Public Affairs approved an amendment to the commission which will allow any other communities that are part of the Napoleon water system, to have a seat on that commission. This amendment would also impact any communities that want to join the Napoleon water system in the future. The Napoleon BPA also approved an operation and maintenance agreement to provide service and repairs for the Florida water customers in the future. This would include the cost of material and manpower to complete repairs. More stringent regulations from the Ohio EPA are making it tougher for smaller communities to run their own municipal water or sewer systems.

And the Napoleon Board of Public Affairs was informed, the next phase of improvements at the city’s waste-water plant are getting underway, with completion anticipated in May of 2023.
