The couple that eats together …A new survey by Jenny Craig found that 79% of respondents say they have gained weight since they started dating their significant other. The survey found that the average person gains 36 pounds when they are in a long-term relationship and 17 of those pounds were gained in the first year of the relationship.
Why is this? 42% said going out to eat a lot is the main cause of their weight gain. 34% said ordering takeout and cooking at home together while drinking alcohol was the reason for the extra pounds. And 64% said just being happy and secure in their relationship and not feeling pressure to look a certain way contributed to their weight gain. (Study Finds)
