A Defiance man is in custody, following an altercation at an accident scene on Thursday afternoon. The Defiance County Sheriff’s office investigated the crash in the area of Domersville Road and Pinehurst Drive, just east of Defiance. On arrival at the scene, Defiance County deputies encountered a subject that attempted to cause physical injury to the officer. 40 year old Nathan A. Wireman of Defiance was charged with Felonious Assault; but other charges were filed against Wireman, including Resisting Arrest, Driving under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, and Failure to Control. Wireman is being held at the Northwest Ohio Regional Jail, with an appearance scheduled in Defiance Municipal Court.
