In Fulton County Common Pleas Court this week, an Archbold man was sentenced to prison, after his guilty plea to Rape. 47 year old Michael Cowgill of Archbold admitted to the sex offense, in which he compelled the victim by force or the threat of force. Cowgill was sentenced by Judge Scott Haselman to serve a prison term of 10 years to 15 years in prison. The defendant was also classified as a Tier-3 sex offender, the most violent classification allowed by the court. This means Cowgill must register with local law officers when released from prison, for the rest of his life.
