NW OHIO FIRST STATE TRACK CHAMPION IN 2025-HUNTER SPANGLER, LIBERTY CENTER

NW Ohio has its first state track champion for 2025, and he hails from Liberty Center.    Junior Hunter Spangler of Liberty Center captured first place in the Ohio Division-3 boys shot put, with a heave of 63’ 1 ¼ inches.    Spangler’s mark is also in the top 50 in the nation this year. It was an awesome day for the Tiger junior, as he exploded for 5 throws of over 60’ feet, better than any competitor in the division.

NW Ohio scored big in the boys shot put today, with Spangler’s teammate Brady Giesige from Liberty Center, taking 5th place at state.  And Logan Pontius of Montpelier placed 4th in Ohio.
