Luke Combs shared an update on an unreleased ballad on Sunday evening (September 28).
The award-winning country artist shared about a minute of the heartfelt storytelling ballad, titled â15 Minutes,â on his social media accounts, and confirmed he finished the song. â15 Minutesâ depicts a conversation between the speaker, who is serving a life sentence, and their mother during a brief phone call. Instagram and TikTok commenters said itâs âanother great song hitting close to home,â âI cry every time I hear a new Luke song,â âIâm not emotionally ready for Luke Combs doin what he does best,â âwe really need this album,â and more.
Combs shared a clip of the unreleased song on YouTube over the summer. He shared in his caption at the time that songwriter Rob Pennington teamed up with Trey Pendley and Grant Vogel to write â15 Minutes,â and sent the ballad to Combs. Combs said âas soon as I heard it I asked Rob if I could write on it with him and make it my own somehow. Ended up recording it in the studio a few weeks back and just been messing with it at the house here lately and thought yâall might wanna hear it. Hope yâall enjoy and pumped up for this next record.â
Combs has not announced a release date for â15 Minutesâ as of publication time on Monday (September 29); however, he confirmed in his caption that he finished the song. His latest update arrives shortly after he snared sneak peeks of âDays Like Theseâ (which he and his wife, Nicole Combs, used as they announced last week that Baby No. 3 is on the way), âMy Kinda Saturday Nightâ and more.
